The AZ TechCelerator success story continues, as one of its affiliate companies showcased a new green technology to the Surprise City Council that was developed at the business incubator.
Torque Trends, Inc. presented to Council before Tuesday’s Work Session a 1999 Mazda Miata that their ev-Torque Box technology helped convert the gasoline-powered car into an electronic- powered vehicle.
“It is beyond exciting to see this type of clean technology developed and implemented so successfully right here in Surprise,” says Mayor Sharon Wolcott. “The AZ TechCelerator continues to produce innovative companies that we all can be proud of.”
“We must be kind to our planet and converting existing gas-powered vehicles into e-vehicles results in a much lower carbon footprint than building new e-cars from the start,” says Mitchell Yow, Torque Trends, Inc Co-Founder.
Torque Trends will showcase the e-Miata Roadster at next month’s SEMA Show in Las Vegas.
